Chabad House Student Center
Chabad’s role on campus, simply speaking, is to provide a home away from home for Jewish students at the University of Michigan. Students are welcomed in a family-style atmosphere that places importance upon individual learning and attention within the greater University. Jewish students, regardless of observance level, are encouraged to stop by, relax, schmooze and meet Jewish peers here at the University.

Led by the Chabad Rabbi and his wife, students can choose from a variety of Jewish programming classes, community service options, personal counseling, Israel advocacy programs and even trips to Israel.

As far as religious programming is concerned, Chabad also offers students an extensive collection of Jewish books, a daily Minyan shared with Hillel, traditional Shabbat and festival meals and services. Chabad is also a registered student association, affiliated with the University via the Michigan Student Assembly (MSA).
