WHO:  Jewish Undergraduate Students at the University of Michigan.

WHAT:  This coming Spring Break, a group of U of M Students have organized a volunteer trip to Sao Paulo, Brazil. It will be a great combination of meaningful volunteer work with a local Jewish community and spring break vacation.
This is an excellent opportunity to explore South America, connecting and strengthening the bond with Jews from across the world.

The trip includes but is not limited to:
• Helping and working with the Jewish Community in Sao Paulo, Brazil
• Soup Kitchen/activities with the poor community
• Activities with the local youth
• Site seeing, wonderful nightlife and beach activities
• Celebrating a Shabbat with Brazilian Jews
• Great food!

The Goals of ASB Brazil (not limited to):
• Building Character and a vital sense of community and responsibility
• Networking with Jews from across the globe in South America
• Forging strong ties between the American and Jewish Latino Communities.
• Learning about Brazilian Jewry and its history
• Bonding and creating memories with fellow U of M students
• Having fun!
 
WHEN: Thursday, February 25th – Thursday, March 3, 2016
(An optional extension will possibly be offered.)

COST:  $999  includes travel, visas, lodging and food.
All participants are required to raise an additional $600 towards our volunteer efforts.

Valid Passports for up to six months after expiration are required for ASB Brazil.
